In 1969 , Company started by S. Amar SIngh with 2 Team workers Only.

In 1972, A high capacity Chaff Cutter Thresher was developed and with this, the job of threshing became very easy for farmers. This thresher could give an output of 14 Qtls per hour on Wheat.

In 1976, in a competitive demonstration held at P.A.U., Ludhiana, this thresher gave an output of 13.97 Qtls per hour. These type of threshers commonly known as ‘HARAMBHA’ Threshers are still very popular in Punjab and getting popular all over India..

In 1982, S.Amar Singh along with two scientists from P.A.U., Ludhiana was awarded National Research Development Council (N.R.D.C.) Award for the development of Semi-Automatic sugarcane planter. In the same year, the firm was honoured with GOLD MEDAL.

In Year 1983, Late S. JAGDEV SINGH (M.D) S/o S.Amar Singh joined the Group and with his excellence in Communication Skills & Marketing Skill, Amar Group started exploring outer State markets and within Few periods Amar Threshers brand has established all over India and have appointed around 100 Dealers in up to the year 1999 .

In Year 1984, the firm was authorized to use Punjab Quality Mark on threshers manufactured by it. Almost a year later, Amar Thresher & Implements got covered under I.S.I License.

In the Year 1988, this firm, by doing various improvements in the normal Wheat thresher, transformed it into a Multipurpose thresher, which could thresh almost all the crops except paddy.

In the Year 1992, S.BALDEV SINGH, S/o S.Amar Singh joined the group. He has proved instrumental in putting the unit on scientific lines. S. Baldev Singh was selected to be a member of the delegation sent by Punjab govt. in Feb. 1993 to visit U.S.A and study the Agricultural Machinery in use there.

The unit is having a close rapport with Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana and any new item developed is discussed in details with the scientists before commercially marked. The company also has its own R & D farm, where the testing of the machines is done.

In year 1994, this firm was honoured with “NATIONAL AWARD FOR QUALITY PRODUCTS” by Ministry of Industry, Govt. of India. This the prestigious award was presented by the then President of India Dr.Shankar Dyal Sharma to our Chairman S. Amar Singh for the best quality of Wheat threshers in India. It is worth mentioning here that this firm is the first manufacturer of threshers in India to receive this award.

In the Year 1998 Mr Jagdev Singh Amar Visited Bologna , Italy and Collaborate with Italian Technology for manufacturing Power Weeders

In the Year 2000, S.Amar Singh honoured with “ACHIEVER OF THE MILLENNIUM AWARD” in All India Achiever’s Conference held in New Delhi.

In 2004, the firm did first Direct Export to South Africa of One Container of 30 Pcs Maize Sheller.

In 2006, the firm with the co-operation of P.A.U., has developed a high capacity Maize Dehusker cum Sheller, which was need of the hour as under the crop diversification, a lot of farmers have shifted from Paddy to Maize.

In 2009, the Group started distribution with the co-operation of FIMAKS Brand Turkey & Kuhn Brand France, explored High Tech Dairy Machinery for Indian Dairy Farmers , Start Importing from KUHN ( FRANCE ) Rotary Tillers & FIMAKS (TURKEY) Maize Chopper to fulfil & easy mechanization to Dairy Farmers.

In 2012, The Third generation of Group , AADWINDER AMAR joined the business after completing his Pg. IBM & MBA in International Business from Centennial College & Schulich School of Business - Canada. He is responsible for Imports & Exports.

In 2016 , The Third generation of Group, ROBIN AMAR & SUNNY AMAR joined the business after completing his B-Tech & MBA . They are responsible for Rotavator ( Rotary Tiller ) & Dairy Chaff Cutter Unit.
In 2018 , The Third generation of Group, HARINDER SINGH AMAR joined the business after completing his Pg in Project Management from Canada. He is responsible for Project Management & Technology Setup in Company
